EXPERIENCE
My work with survivors of trauma began 29 years ago during my undergrad internship at the Children’s Advocacy Center, Monica’s House , which later led to my employment as a child advocate. I continued my professional career by working at the Texas Workforce Center as a career counselor and then at Tropical Texas Behavioral Health as an Intellectual Developmental Disability Coordinator. My career in counseling began 10 years ago as a graduate student, I moved on to work at the University of Texas at Brownsville and interned at The Collegiate Recovery Center Coordinator and continued as a Clinical Therapist with the UTRGV Counseling Center. My work at the Family Crisis Center began as a graduate student intern which later led to my employment with Family Crisis Center where I counsel children and adults who have survived Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.
